Racheal was the winner of Zambia’s first Pop Idol. She won this at a young age. She went on to become a contestant and winner in the Pop Idol Africa and then was the third place winner in the Africa and Europe Pop Idol. Rachel's vocal talents were discovered at age of 5. Kasonde is a professional drummer and member of The Elect Band. He resides in Lusaka, Zambia. He has played with Kenny Latmore (American R n B Legend), Ephraim (Zambian Gospel Music star), Zahra (South Africa’s Afro Jazz Artist), ‘Zambia’s Dreams’ television show and Racheal N – Zambian Gospel Music star. Michael Mweemba: Singer songwriter also known as Chief Cherubz. Michael discovers and fosters Zambian talent launching the careers of many up and coming artists. He has over 5 albums with his latest being Zambia shall be saved. A smooth voice he has the ability to multi task across genres. Martha has a powerful voice that is a gift from God! She resides in Zambia and is a professional singer. Her credits include guest spots and backing vocals for Michael Mweemba – Chief Cherubz, the Cherubz and Racheal.
Godfrey is a guitarist who values the traditional heritage of Zambian music. He has been a miner and is now a farmer in his semi-retirement Zambia. Godfrey is the father of Tom Mwanza. He gave Tom a platform to discover music at an early age.
Justina is a church musician/singer who values the role music can play in life. Justina is the mother of 5, is married to Godfrey Mwanza. Tom Mwanza is their second born. She lives in Kalalushi, Zambia. Justina fostered and encouraged Tom to develop his talents.
A professional dance troupe from Lusaka, Zambia formed in 1999 Headed by Oliver Zulu. They are contributing towards keeping Zambian traditions living by performing traditional cultural dances to educate the contemporary generations.
The choir is made from the villagers of, which is outside of Chingolga in Zambia. They sing in the traditional manner with rich acapella harmonies in church.
Sharon is a professional fully qualified Australian Secondary Music Teacher and Head Teacher of Creative and Performing Arts. She is a gifted flautist and pianist. She is married to Tom Mwanza. Like Tom, she fell in love with music as a small child. She lives with Tom in Australia.
Tom is the producer, director, writer and presenter for the film Back to the Roots A Musical Journey of Discovery. Tom has created several short films including Baggage and music video clips for The Cherubz. His music has been in many commercial products advertising in Zambia on radio and television, a TV commercials in Australia for Crankfest 2015 and in short films including Baggage by director Raeleen Preston and Seeker of the Lost Arts: by director Megan Kinniment.
